Cedric is committed to creating a more equitable and just society and believes each person’s voice and actions are necessary to achieve its success. Prior to joining TMC, Cedric served as co-founder and executive director of Many Voices: A Black Church Movement for Gay & Transgender Justice for more than a decade. He helped people connect the concerns of LGBTQ people and their families with the historic commitment of Black churches to liberation, freedom and justice. He facilitated, trained, and coached community members and religious leaders on issues of sexuality and spirituality. He has been a central voice for equality nationally and internationally. Cedric has worked in nonprofit organizations throughout his career and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Emerson College and extensive theological training from Wesley Theological Seminary.
