Sujata, founder and president of Sujata Strategies, is a well-known leader in the progressive movement. Sujata has trained more than 10,000 candidates, staff, and leaders, and she advises and mentors rising progressives as they grow into leadership roles, paying special attention to those coming from and working in communities of color. She focuses her consulting practice on supporting organizations and leaders who center racial justice and equity in their work through strategic advising, training, coaching, and program implementation. She served as Runoff Campaign Director for the New Georgia Project in 2021, the Coordinated Campaign Director for Stacey Abrams in 2018, Deputy Chief of Staff for the 2016 Democratic National Convention, Director of the Political Leadership Project for Wellstone Action (now re:power), Campaign Advisor for EMILY\u2019s List, and Senior Election Advisor for the Ohio Democratic Party.
