Jackson is driven by the power of organizing people, resources, and ideas to advance social justice. He has spent much of his career building partnerships and training leaders to build capacity with local and statewide organizations working on LGBTQ justice, reproductive justice, immigrant justice, and more. Before working at The Management Center, Jackson managed a team of more than 800 volunteers and staff at the LA LGBT Center’s Leadership LAB to innovate models of deep canvassing and advance queer and trans rights around the country. The LAB\u2019s work has since been proven to reduce transphobia and change minds on multiple social justice issues. Jackson first got into organizing and leadership development as a young, Unitarian Universalist in Southern California, and continued at UC Berkeley as a student-teacher poet and elected leader in multiple student co-ops.
